Data Analytics and Management Services

Get more from your data.

When organic search isn’t delivering what it should, the first step is understanding why. KD Digital combines search research, technical expertise and performance analysis to identify opportunities and build a practical plan for growth.

The most common reasons clients engage with us

Data sits in separate tools and reaches reports through manual copying and spreadsheets.
Two systems report two different numbers for the same measure.
Tracking has gaps, or nobody is certain if it is set up correctly.
There is no data ownership, so quality slips and fixes do not last.
A metric moves without explanation, or a simple question takes weeks to answer.

The cost of unreliable data

When the numbers don’t add up, it becomes difficult to know which decisions to trust. Teams spend hours reconciling reports from different systems, questioning the figures and debating whose version is right, rather than understanding what’s happening and what needs to change.

Without a reliable picture of performance, warning signs are easier to miss. Marketing budgets may continue to be allocated based on past performance rather than current opportunities, changes in customer behaviour go unnoticed, and opportunities for growth get overlooked. Decisions fall back on habit, assumptions or the loudest opinion in the room.

The result? More time spent questioning the numbers, less time acting on the insights, and budget that could be working harder for your business.

Good analysis starts with reliable data

Most organisations hold more data than they use. What is often missing is a clear question, data that is collected and organised properly, or someone to compare sources and explain the differences.

The work starts with the decisions that need to be made and the information needed to make them. Next comes a close look at the data behind those decisions: what is collected, where it is stored, how accurate it is and how it moves between systems. The outcome is a clear picture of what’s working and what needs attention first.

Our process

Understanding the need. The first conversation covers your goals, the challenges you face and the decisions you need to make. No technical knowledge or finished brief is required.
Reviewing the current position. We look at how data is collected, stored, connected and reported, checking its accuracy and consistency to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
Getting the data right and finding the answers. Tracking is set up or repaired, data sources are connected and inconsistencies are addressed. The analysis then explores what is happening, why it matters and what may happen next, where the evidence supports a forecast.
Handover and support. You receive clear reports and dashboards, documentation explaining where the data comes from and how to maintain its quality, plus a walkthrough and any training or handover support needed to help your team work independently.

Typical deliverables: A strategic findings report, complete with a prioritised action plan.

Depending on the project, documentation will also include a data strategy, connected data sources, automated data flows, improved tracking, data quality guidelines and dashboards.

Timescales and the working format are agreed to suit the scope of the project.

From data foundations to business insights

Data Strategy and Architecture

A clear plan for how your business uses data.

Define what data you need, where it comes from and how it supports your goals. The result is a practical strategy and the foundations to collect, organise and use it.

Data Pipeline

The right data, in the right place.

Connected sources and automated data flows give you consistent data for reporting and analysis.

Data Management

Data you can trust.

A review of where your data sits, with fixes for quality, consistency and governance, so everyone works from the same numbers.

Cloud Services

Data that’s easy to reach and work with.

Data and systems moved to the cloud, and more value from the services you already use. Information is easier to access and processes run more efficiently.

Data Analysis and Modelling

Patterns that explain what’s happening.

Analysis and statistical modelling answer specific business questions. Where the data supports it, predictive models show likely outcomes so you can plan.

Data Visualisation & Reporting

Reports your team will use.

Clear dashboards and reports show the measures that matter and what has changed, so your team knows what to do next.

Advanced Analytics: AI and Machine Learning

AI and machine learning, where they earn their place.

Machine learning applied to pattern detection, prediction and process automation, starting from a business need rather than the technology.

Customer Analytics and Insights

Understand what shapes customer behaviour.

Customer data and behaviour, combined, show where people engage, where they struggle and what would improve their journey and communications.

Our experience includes working with organisations such as Publicis, Vodafone, Asda, Elsevier, Crucial, Aldi and Disney. That work spans digital performance, customer experience, analytics and business strategy.

This broader perspective helps connect the numbers to your customers, your marketing and the business decisions ahead.

Data Analytics and Management FAQs

Does my data need fixing before analysis can begin?

Not necessarily. The first step is to understand what data you have, how it is collected and how well it supports the questions you need to answer. Some data may be ready to use, while other areas may need improvements to tracking, consistency or integration. We identify what needs attention and prioritise the work so you can make progress without fixing everything at once.

We’ve invested in analytics before, but it hasn’t led to meaningful change. What would be different?

Analytics is most useful when it starts with a business question, instead of a set of reports. We focus on the decisions you need to make, investigate what the evidence tells us and explain what the findings mean in practical terms. Every project aims to leave you with clear conclusions and prioritised actions, rather than more numbers to interpret.

Is data and analytics support suitable for small businesses as well as larger organisations?

Yes. The right approach depends on your business, the data available and the decisions you need to make, not simply the size of your organisation. For some businesses, that may mean improving existing reports and tracking. For others, it may involve connecting multiple systems or developing a more comprehensive data strategy. The focus is on finding a practical solution that fits your needs.

How long does a project take, and how much does it cost?

This depends on the scope of the work, the number of data sources involved and the complexity of the challenges. Once we understand your requirements, we can agree the scope, deliverables, timescales and costs before work begins.

Can you work alongside our in-house team?

Absolutely. We can collaborate with your marketing, analytics, data, technology and leadership teams, working alongside existing processes and expertise. This might involve resolving a specific data challenge, providing specialist analysis or supporting a wider project. Knowledge sharing and clear documentation help your team understand the findings and maintain improvements after the work is complete.

What will we receive at the end of a project?

Deliverables depend on your requirements but may include a findings report, recommendations and a prioritised action plan, improved tracking, connected data sources, dashboards, a data strategy or documentation. The aim is to give you a clear understanding of what the data reveals, what to do next and how to put the findings into practice.

Do we need to know exactly what we need before getting in touch?

No. You may have a specific problem to solve, conflicting reports or simply a feeling that you’re not getting enough value from your data. An initial conversation helps clarify the challenge, identify what information is available and establish where to focus first.
